My "sumnmer" adventure through South America had a few must do's. Skiing in Chile in July was one of these must do's. It would have been really cool to ski in July if all my friends in San Francisco, California didn't go skiing in Lake Tahoe, California over the 4th of July. That wasn't stopping me from my next adventure.
My boyfriend and I departed for Valle de Nevado from Santaigo, Chile on July 10th, 2017. Google Ski Total in Santiago if you'd like to see my unhappy review of the service we used for gear and transpiration to the mountain.
The skiing was decent. We needed to go even later in the season when there was more snow. The mountain felt extremely small compared to the resorts in the States.
At the end of the day, I am not sure I can say it was worth it. I am happy I did it so I know I will never need to do it again (unless there is more snow). We made the most of it and still had a good day on the slopes in July!
